Discover the top 10 most expensive streets in the country to buy a house
Buying a house in Portugal is becoming increasingly difficult for most Portuguese. The trend has been an increase in the prices practiced in the real estate market on national soil. The most expensive streets in the country are mostly concentrated in the Lisbon Metropolitan Area, according to Idealista. There is, however, a street in the Algarve in the top 10 made by the real estate platform, the Pine Cliffs Urbanization in Albufeira, where the average price of a house is 2,670,000 million euros.
The first place on the list of the most expensive streets in the country is occupied by Rua Garret, in Chiado, with prices averaging 4,404,545 million euros. The podium is completed by Rua Melo e Sousa, in Estoril, with an average price of 3,417,142 million euros, and Rua das Palmeiras, in Quinta da Marinha, Cascais, which is around 3,187,636 million euros.
The fourth street with the highest prices to buy a house is Rua Vítor Cordon, in the parish of Santa Maria Maior, in Lisbon, with an average price per house of 3,163,454 million euros. This is followed by Condomínio Herdade da Aroeira, in Charneca da Caparica, with an average price of 3,019,000 million euros, and Avenida General Carmona, in Estoril, where the average price of luxury housing is around 2,970,000 million euros.
In seventh and eighth position is Rua Birre, in Cascais, with houses at an average price of 2,904,117 million euros and Avenida Almirante Gago Coutinho, in Alvalade with average prices of 2,674,636 million euros.
Rounding off the list of the ten most expensive streets in the country are Rua de Buenos Aires, located in Estrela, Lisbon, with values of around 2,670,000 million euros, and the Pine Cliffs Urbanization, in Albufeira, where prices are also around 2,670,000 million euros.
This study by idealista analyzed the absolute average price of apartments and houses advertised on the same street. To avoid distorting the data, only streets with a minimum of 10 advertisements and no duplicate properties were considered. The study only reveals the average street price.
