Mota-Engil wins new contract in Peru for around 115 ME

Mota-Engil has won a new contract in Peru for around 115 million euros, with a maximum duration of 50 months, it said today in a statement to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission (CMVM).

In the note, the company said that its subsidiary Mota-Engil Peru “has signed a new contract, worth around 115 million euros, as part of the Las Bambas project”.

According to the group, the contract was awarded by Minera Las Bambas and corresponds to the contract for the “Construction of Stage 6 of the Relavesa Presa”, i.e. “another phase of the development work on the Las Bambas project (located around 560 km from Lima, at an altitude of 4,000 meters, in the southern interior of Peru)” in which the group “has been operating since 2011”.

This contract will have a maximum duration of 50 months, he said.

On February 2, the company announced another contract in Peru, worth around 160 million euros.

With this new award, “Mota-Engil strengthens its order book in one of its core markets, reaching in these first weeks of 2024 around 300 million dollars [278 million euros] of new awards.”
