Poland’s Hubert Hurkacz, the world’s 10th-ranked player, won his first career clay-court title today, beating Spain’s Pedro Martínez in the final of the Estoril Open in two sets.
At the Estoril Tennis Club, the second seed confirmed his favoritism against the 77th-ranked player in the ATP ranking, winning 6-3 and 6-4 in one hour and 27 minutes.
Hubert Hurkacz, 27, won the eighth title of his career, his first on clay, and succeeded Norwegian Casper Ruud on the list of the only Portuguese ATP tournament.
