The Program of the XXIV Constitutional Government was delivered today by the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, Pedro Duarte, to the President of the Assembly of the Republic, José Pedro Aguiar-Branco.
The formal delivery of the document, which was scheduled for 11:45, took place in the parliament’s drawing room at around 13:05, after the President of the Assembly of the Republic had left the parliamentary leaders’ conference, which only ended at around 12:50.
In front of the media, Pedro Duarte gave José Pedro Aguiar-Branco a flash drive and a printed copy of the program.
The PSD/CDS-PP Government Program was approved today by the Council of Ministers and will be discussed in the plenary session of Parliament on Thursday and Friday. The PCP has announced that it will present a motion to reject the document, but that it is certain to be rejected without the votes of the PS.
