Since the creation of the e-auctions portal in 2016, 33,134 properties have been acquired.
Over the last eight years, pawned properties have generated around 3.5 billion euros on the e-le auctions portal, launched in April 2016. Houses, buildings and land are the most commonly sold assets.
On the e-le Auctions portal, created to speed up the sale of assets seized in debt enforcement proceedings, 33,134 properties have been acquired so far, guaranteeing creditors the recovery of 3.524 billion euros, according to Dinheiro Vivo.
Data from the Order of Solicitors and Enforcement Agents (OSAE), which manages the platform, cited by the publication, shows that in 2023, 3,207 properties were bought through e-le auctions, “the lowest volume ever recorded in a full year of the portal.” In 2018 and 2019, the number of real estate assets sold exceeded six thousand.
According to Dinheiro Vivo, the property that reached the highest value was a property located on Rua de São Paulo, in Lisbon, which was bought for 5.3 million euros.
