A 30-year-old man was arrested twice by the Public Security Police (PSP) during a match between União Desportiva de Leiria and Futebol Clube de Vizela. The fan was prohibited from attending games by the Authority for the Prevention and Combat of Violence in Sport (APCVD).
In a statement, the PSP clarifies that the man was intercepted at the beginning of the game, already inside the Municipal Stadium of Leiria, Dr. Magalhães Pessoa, and after having validated his ticket, due to the ban. The man’s behavior constituted a “crime of disobedience,” for which he was arrested and taken to the police station.
After the necessary procedures were carried out, the fan was released and notified to appear in court on Monday. However, 25 minutes after being released, the man was “again detected inside the stadium, already in the stands area.”
The police force assures that the man entered “through the same door where he had been initially approached.”
The man was arrested again for the crime of disobedience and was once more notified to appear in court.
