An 80-year-old man has been missing in Rio de Mouro, Sintra, since 3 PM on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Public Security Police (PSP).
According to the same source, the elderly man called the fire department around 11 PM yesterday, but the call dropped before they could determine his location. Although his phone remains on, it has not been possible to re-establish contact.
A family member informed the authorities that, in addition to his mobile phone, the elderly man has his citizen card with him.
According to the Civil Protection website, the alert was issued at 8:22 AM. Currently, 38 firefighters and authorities are participating in the search, assisted by 11 vehicles.
