A 23-year-old man was arrested on August 14 on suspicion of “multiple thefts from establishments” in three parishes of Lisbon, the Public Security Police (PSP) revealed in a statement this Monday.
According to the authorities, the suspect, who had previously been arrested for crimes of the same nature, is “widely referenced” for various thefts in the parishes of Campo de Ourique, Belém, and Ajuda, which occurred in the last 30 days.
The young man was reportedly caught on the video surveillance cameras of the establishments.
After being arrested, not in the act, and presented for his first judicial interrogation, the suspect was subjected to the most serious precautionary measure, preventive detention.
