An elderly couple was kidnapped and robbed on Sunday night by four hooded men inside their own home in the parish of Mozelos, Santa Maria da Feira, according to a source from the National Republican Guard (GNR) of Aveiro.
The crime reportedly occurred around 11:00 PM when the suspects, armed with a firearm, invaded the residence to carry out a robbery.
The individuals restrained the two victims, a woman and a man, aged 84 and 89 respectively, and locked them inside the bedroom.
Afterwards, the group ransacked the entire residence and stole various belongings, including the elderly couple’s vehicle, which they used to flee to an unknown location.
As of now, the whereabouts of the suspects remain unknown.
The GNR contacted the Judicial Police (PJ), which is now in charge of investigating the case.
