The Public Security Police (PSP) seized a fake residence permit from a 23-year-old woman who was attempting to board a flight to Madrid at Lisbon Airport.
In a statement, the PSP explained that the incident occurred on September 3rd, when the woman presented the document in question at the time of boarding.
The residence permit presented “raised doubts about its authenticity,” and therefore, the PSP was called to intervene.
“After various procedures and submission to expert analysis, it was confirmed to be a false document,” the authority concluded in the informative note sent to newsrooms.
As a result, the document was seized, and the suspect was named as a defendant. She provided her identity and residence information and was notified to appear in court.
