According to the statement from the Council of Ministers, all tasks related to technical certification and supervision of all air navigation services in question will be concentrated in ANAC (National Civil Aviation Authority) for “efficiency reasons, ensuring compliance with European Union regulations.”
The approved decree-law also states that this will consequently ensure compliance “with international standards and practices recommended by the International Civil Aviation Organization.”
This consolidation of responsibilities under ANAC is aimed at streamlining processes and maintaining adherence to both EU and international aviation standards.
