The winger Tiago Gouveia, who was on loan at Estoril Praia last season, has renewed his contract with Benfica until 2028, the Portuguese soccer league champion club announced today.
After having spent his formative years with Tires and Sporting, 22-year-old Tiago Gouveia arrived at Benfica in 2017/18 and made his debut for the first team at the end of the 2021/22 season.
“It’s a feeling of pride and responsibility to feel this bet from a club like Benfica. Now it’s up to me to show my quality and help Benfica achieve their goals,” said the winger.
In statements to BTV, Tiago Gouveia guarantees that he returns better from loan to the ‘canarinhos’, in which he scored five goals in 30 games, and that he wants to “use all this experience” that he accumulated to help the club.
In the youth national teams of Portugal, the winger has 31 internationalizations and 10 goals for various teams, from U-15 to U-21.
