The PJ arrested a 22-year-old man on suspicion of drug trafficking in the municipality of Angra do Heroísmo, on the island of Terceira, in possession of 2,000 doses of hashish pollen.
According to a statement from the Criminal Investigation Department of the Azores of the Judicial Police, which had the collaboration of the National Republican Guard, the arrest took place “following a police operation, which resulted in the seizure of enough hashish pollen for around two thousand individual average daily doses”.
The detainee, who has a previous record for the same type of crime, was brought before the competent judicial authorities and the coercive measure of pre-trial detention was applied to him.
