The ASAE (Food and Economic Security Authority) inspected 74 economic operators as part of Operation Panis, with the aim of verifying compliance with food hygiene and safety rules, licensing of activities, and mandatory information on product labeling.
The operation resulted in six suspensions of activity due to non-compliance with general and specific hygiene requirements, and 28 administrative offense proceedings were initiated.
Among the main infractions, the following stand out: “non-compliance with general and specific hygiene requirements, lack of technical and functional conditions in manufacturing facilities, lack of HACCP system [Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system], non-conformities in the information on the labeling of pre-packaged products (cakes), among others.”
