The eastern group of the Azores has been under yellow alert since 9:00 pm today and until 3:00 pm on Tuesday due to forecasts of rain, which may be heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms, the IPMA said.

The yellow alert, the least severe on a scale of three, is issued by the IPMA when there is a risk for certain activities based on the weather situation.
