Blur closes the 10th Primavera Sound festival in Porto today

Blur returns to Portugal today to close the 10th edition of the Primavera Sound festival in Porto, held at the Parque da Cidade, whose final day program also includes New Order, Julia Holter, Sparks and Yves Tumor.

On the fourth day of the festival, it’s expected that the rain will subside and Porto’s Primavera Sound will offer a dry day to the thousands of people who have flocked to the site, which opens for the last time this year at 4pm.

The music starts at 4.30pm, with Wolf Manhattan on the main stage, named Porto. This stage will also welcome Yard Act, Sparks, Halsey and Blur, who return to the festival where they performed in 2013.

In addition to the main stage, the site has three other outdoor stages – Vodafone, Super Bock and Plenitude – and one indoor stage – Bits.

Vodafone will host concerts by Unsafe Space Garden, Israel Fernández y Diego del Morao, Karate, New Order and Unwound.

Isa Leen, Nation of Language, Yves Tumor and Marina Herlop will perform on the Super Bock stage, while Plenitude Pup, Flowerovlove, Julia Holter, OFF! and Drain Gang.

At Bits, where there’s music until 6 a.m. on Sunday, Chima Isaaro, Isabella Lovestory, Verraco, Nick León and Daphni will be performing.

Porto’s Primavera Sound festival, first held in 2012, has moved this year to a larger space at Parque da Cidade and lasts four days instead of the usual three, to celebrate ten editions.

In addition to a new stage layout, the organization has enlarged the food court and created more sanitary areas.

All information concerning tickets, concert and public transport timetables and other details are available online, on the festival’s official website at https://www.primaverasound.com/pt/porto.
