A 34-year-old man was arrested by the Public Security Police (PSP) on Tuesday after being caught selling drugs near a school in Marvila, Lisbon.
In a statement, the PSP clarified that officers were on patrol when they encountered “two individuals near a school making a transaction.”
The officers then found that the man had several doses of different types of drugs in his possession, leading to his arrest.
The PSP seized 95 doses of marijuana, 181 doses of ecstasy, 124 doses of hashish, and 1,250 euros in cash.
The man who was buying the drugs was issued a misdemeanor citation, as the amount he had did not exceed the “daily dose limit allowed by law.” Nevertheless, the PSP confiscated 2 doses of marijuana from him.
The arrested individual, who has a criminal record for the same type of offense, was brought before a judge and was ordered to report periodically to the authorities.
