Dua Lipa performs live in Portugal today at Alive festival

Singer Dua Lipa performs live in Portugal today, with a concert at the Alive festival, taking place until Saturday at Passeio Marítimo de Algés, in Oeiras, and whose lineup today also includes T-Rex and Floating Points.

Born in 1995 in London to Albanian parents, Dua Lipa hit the world stage with “New Rules”, from her debut album of the same name, released in 2017, as mentioned on the Grammys website, an award she has won on three occasions, most recently in 2021 with “Future Nostalgia”, in the category of best pop vocal album.

The singer performs live in Portugal two months after releasing a new album, the third of her career, “Radical Optimism”.

Dua Lipa closes the concerts on the main stage, where T-Rex, Ashnikko and Arlo Parks will also be performing today. Arlo Parks’ presence at the festival was announced on Wednesday, replacing Tyla, who canceled the show “for reasons of force majeure”.

The other six stages, one of which is dedicated to Comedy, will feature artists and bands such as Floating Points, Michael Kiwanuka, Aurora, Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, L-Ali, Malva, Matilde Cid, Eduardo Madeira and Vasco Pereira Coutinho.

The venue opens at 15:00 today and the last performance is scheduled for 03:00 on Saturday.

The PSP, in a statement released on Tuesday, advises festival-goers to travel to the event in advance, “given the high influx of people and the security procedures for access to the venue”, as well as to use public transport.

The organization is also urging people to use public transport, having set up “an integrated operation with various partners”.

According to Álvaro Covões, on the railway line between Lisbon and Cascais, which has a station in Algés, there will be “extended timetables and more trains”.

The same will happen on Transtejo’s boat connections between Lisbon and the south bank of the Tagus.

In addition, in partnership with Carris, there will be buses running between Docapesca and three points in Lisbon: Oriente Station, Santa Apolónia and Marquês de Pombal.

Concert times and other information about the festival are available online at www.nosalive.com.
