An earthquake of 2.9 magnitude on the Richter scale was recorded today near Montemor-o-Novo, Évora district, revealed the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA).
According to IPMA, the earthquake occurred at 22:24 and the epicenter was located “near Montemor-o-Novo”.
The institute also explains that “no information has been received confirming that this earthquake was felt” by the population.
