The Public Security Police (PSP) didn’t want to be left out of the new trend and decided to use supermarket encounters to raise awareness about the need to drive with “caution,” respecting “speed limits” and using “safety devices.”
The authority decided to join the trend on social media and published a photograph showing PSP officers next to a shopping cart with a pineapple.
“Whether on public roads or in a supermarket aisle, drive with caution, respect speed limits, and make use of safety devices,” the PSP warned.
The fruit, it should be noted, is part of a new trend to find love in Mercadona supermarkets in Spain. To participate, one only needs to walk around with an upside-down pineapple in their shopping cart, and if they spot another person also with an upside-down pineapple, they just need to bump carts and start a conversation.
The PSP’s social media post included the following text:
“Whether on public roads or in a supermarket aisle, drive with caution, respect speed limits, and make use of safety devices.
