A fire that broke out early this afternoon in Figueira, in the municipality of Penafiel, Porto district, is being fought by 125 firefighters and 10 aerial resources, according to a source from Civil Protection.
A source from the Tâmega and Sousa Sub-Regional Command stated that the alert for the fire was given at 3:36 PM.
“The affected area is a scrubland area, and we have information that one person was assisted on site,” the source said.
As of 7:00 PM, 125 firefighters supported by 33 vehicles and 10 aerial resources were battling the flames.
