The SEF does not know the reasons for the search, but clarified that it is available to cooperate with justice in whatever is necessary.
The former president of the Union of Administrative Employees of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF), Manuela Niza Ribeiro, was questioned this Wednesday by the PJ in the premises where she works, in the Northern Regional Directorate of the SEF, according to police sources.
A source from the SEF told Lusa that a public prosecutor and two elements of the Judicial Police went this morning to the premises of the Northern Regional Directorate of the SEF to speak with Manuela Niza Ribeiro, who meanwhile left the premises with the judge.
Another police source confirmed the search, as reported by Correio da Manhã, and said that no arrests had been made, but declined to specify the reasons for the search.
The SEF also added that it did not know the reasons for the search, and clarified that it was available to cooperate with the judicial authorities in whatever was necessary.
Manuela Niza Ribeiro has a disciplinary case opened by the SEF in relation to the work she did at the same time with the aviation company Omni, which has since been communicated to the Public Ministry.
