Two young individuals, aged between 16 and 17, were arrested for robbery on August 12 in the Lumiar parish of Lisbon, the Public Security Police (PSP) revealed on Wednesday in a statement.
According to the authorities, the duo threatened and assaulted a group of young people who were “socializing in a garden” to steal two mobile phones, valued at approximately 500 euros.
Shortly after the robbery was reported, the PSP managed to locate the suspects on a nearby street, still in possession of the stolen items.
The mobile phones were recovered and returned to their owners, who suffered visible injuries during the attack.
The detainees were subsequently presented for their first judicial interrogation, and precautionary measures were applied, including weekly check-ins, prohibition of contact between the defendants, and a ban on frequenting the location where the incident occurred.
