A 44-year-old man was arrested on Thursday, September 5th, suspected of committing crimes of rape, kidnapping, and domestic violence in Cascais.
According to a statement from the Judicial Police (PJ), the victims are “the ex-partner and a minor daughter of the couple.”
The PJ became aware of the case “recently” following “a hospital visit by one of the victims.” However, “the suspect had been committing these crimes for more than a decade,” the statement notes.
After conducting various police investigations and gathering “strong evidence,” the aggressor was then located and arrested.
The individual will now be presented for a first judicial interrogation at the Cascais Criminal Investigation Court for the application of appropriate precautionary measures.
