Until June 25, there’s another reason to visit Braga: an unprecedented photographic exhibition of the Peneda-Gerês National Park. The exhibition features some 30 unique images, and admission is free.
The beauty of what is Portugal’s only national park is now presented in an exhibition of some thirty images, which has been installed in the Nova Arcada shopping center. All the photos were taken exclusively for this purpose by photographer Sergio Assis, whose work has been recognized in the “World Photography Collection”.
The exhibition, which is free of charge, is presented in the central square on level 0 and aims to showcase the park’s natural beauty, landscapes, archaeological sites and biodiversity. It also aims to increase general knowledge of environmental issues and promote the preservation and protection of our planet’s natural resources.
Currently, the Peneda-Gerês National Park boasts some 240 species of vertebrate fauna and 1100 species of flora, as well as 500 sites of historical and archaeological interest.
The show can be seen until June 25, during the mall’s opening hours.
