According to the Ministry of Finance, as of May 29, 3,549,462 declarations had been settled and 1,901,064 refunds had been paid, for a total of 1,833.3 million euros.
The average refund so far this year has amounted to 964.35 euros, and the average payment period for this tax refund is 22.4 days.
As is usually the case, for some taxpayers, the annual IRS settlement does not result in a refund, but in a collection note, and so far 419,614 of these collection notes have been issued, for a total amount of 297.86 million euros, with an average value of 709.84 euros.
Since the IRS campaign kicked off on June 1, taxpayers have filed 543,613 tax returns, of which 1,580,768 are automatic tax returns and 2,950,443 are normal Model 3 returns.
