The Pinhal Fair, which takes place in Oleiros, from August 3 to 6, presents Jorge Palma, Bárbara Tinoco, Ivandro and David Antunes & The Midnight Band.
The municipality of Oleiros, in the district of Castelo Branco, decided to anticipate the holding of the XXI edition of the Pinhal Fair one week to try to “maximize the efficiency of the event, satisfying supply and demand”.
“The anticipation of the date of the Pine Forest Fair was agreed with the various entities of our municipality and unanimously approved by the municipal executive”, stressed the Mayor of Oleiros, Miguel Marques.
The 2023 edition of the event will mark the 400th anniversary of the Discovery of Tibet by Father António de Andrade, a Jesuit born in Oleiros.
At the entrance of the venue, the Institutional Pavilion will feature 38 institutions.
“Over two decades, the event has positioned itself for its great capacity to attract quality exhibitors, linked to handicrafts and agri-food production, which has attracted the most demanding collectors and gastronomy lovers”, said the municipality.
The Pinhal Fair has sought, year after year, to renew the offer and guarantee the excellence of the exhibitors.
“The XXI edition will maintain this strategy with the presentation of new exhibitors, artisans of renown and recognized quality, with national and international reach”, stressed Miguel Marques.
The concern for the well-being of the various generations is a premise, as well as the appreciation of traditions and the legacy that is intended to be left to future generations.
In this context, the fair once again has the sustainable event brand (ECOEVENTO), in a partnership established between the Chamber of Oleiros and Valnor, the company responsible for the collection, sorting, recovery and treatment of urban waste in the region.
The entertainment program also highlights the musical groups of the municipality of Oleiros, which will perform in their own space, the Palco Raízes, in the center of the fairgrounds.
During the four days of the event will pass through the Stage Roots the Groups of Pumps of Vilar and Cavaquinhos of Estreito, the Folkloric and Ethnographic Ranch of Oleiros, the Group of Songs of the Senior University, the Group of Dances and Ethnographic Songs of GAIO and the Band of the Oleirense Philharmonic Society.
The municipality of Oleiros, thinking of the youngest, also has planned night performances in the show area by DJ Valelo, Wilson Honrado and Petter Nox, Hugo Rafael, Pedro Simões by RFM, Sons do Zêzere, Kiss kiss Bang Bang duo and DJ Shark.
