A 23-year-old man was arrested “in the act” for domestic violence in the municipality of Celorico da Beira. Following a report, the National Republican Guard (GNR) promptly responded to the location, where they discovered that the “suspect inflicted physical and psychological violence against the victim, a 24-year-old woman,” as stated in a press release.

The GNR officers detained the suspect “immediately.” He was brought before the Trancoso Judicial Court on Tuesday, where he faced measures of coercion. As part of these measures, he is prohibited from “approaching or contacting the victim within a radius of 500 meters for nine months.”
