A person was fatally hit by a vehicle on Tuesday night in the Entrecampos area of Lisbon, authorities have confirmed.
A source from the Public Security Police (PSP) confirmed the fatal accident, which reportedly occurred around 9:00 PM, but did not provide further details about the incident.
The Lisbon Fire Department confirmed that the victim was a man.
An Emergency Medical Vehicle and Resuscitation (VMER), an INEM ambulance, and the PSP were present at the scene.
A video of the incident is already circulating on social media, with information suggesting that the accident occurred at a pedestrian crossing, resulting in the victim being thrown. However, this information could not be independently verified.

A social media post states: “Another fatal pedestrian accident has just happened in Entrecampos. Two years of requests for speed reduction and improved road safety after a petition with more than 430 signatures, and @Moedas did nothing. Another death that could have been avoided in this deathtrap for pedestrians.”
