The GNR set up a special crime prevention operation at the Boom Festival, which took place in Idanha-a-Nova between July 14 and 28.
More than a hundred people were arrested by the GNR in a special crime prevention operation at a festival held in Idanha-a-Nova, and thousands of doses of drugs were seized, including cocaine and ketamine.
In a statement, GNR explains that the operation took place between 14 and 28 July and involved a total of several operational valences.
A total of 112 people (91 men and 21 women) were arrested for possession of a prohibited weapon and drug trafficking, and around 22,000 euros in cash, 20,000 doses of liquid LSD, 7,102 doses of MDMA, 5,182 doses of liamba, 4,527 doses of cocaine, 3,884 doses of hashish and 1,519 doses of amphetamines were seized.
The GNR also seized 820 doses of LSD seal, 403 grams ketamine, 257,30 grams (gr) of crystals, 194 gr mushrooms, 4,6 grams of 2CB, three grams of BLOOM, two LSD gummies, a bottle with hashish oil, 30 bottles of nitrous oxide, six precision scales, three pepper gas, two bladed weapons and seven cell phones.
A total of 103 administrative offenses were also issued for drug use.
This operation also included the reinforcement of military personnel from similar forces, in particular the Gendarmerie Nationale (France), Arma dei Carabinieri (Italy) and Guardia Civil (Spain).
Between July 20 and 27, the municipality of Idanha-a-Nova, Castelo Branco district, hosted the 14th edition of Boom Festival, which took place at the Granja estate and welcomed about 39 thousand people of 177 nationalities, with the theme of Radical Love.
