According to information published on the SNS Portal at 8:00 AM, the greatest impact is felt in Greater Lisbon, with several services closed.
Beatriz Ângelo Hospital (Loures) and Nossa Senhora do Rosário Hospital (Barreiro) are the only ones with two Emergency services closed: Obstetrics/Gynecology and Pediatrics.
In the Lisbon region, Garcia de Orta Hospital (Almada) and São Francisco Xavier Hospital (Western Lisbon) have closed their Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency, while São Bernardo Hospital (Setúbal) has closed its Pediatric Emergency.
In the north, Chaves Hospital has closed its Pediatric Emergency, and in the center, Santo André Hospital (Leiria) and Dr. Manoel Constâncio Hospital (Abrantes) have closed their respective Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency services.
In the south, the only restriction recorded is at Portimão Hospital, which has closed its Obstetrics Emergency.
Also in the capital, the Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency at Hospital Doutor Fernando Fonseca (Amadora-Sintra) is referenced all day, and the Pediatric Emergency of the same health unit is restricted between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM and between 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM.
The Pediatrics service at Fernando Fonseca Hospital (Amadora-Sintra) is referenced between 12:00 AM and 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM and 12:00 AM, while the Obstetrics and Gynecology Emergency of the same health unit has the same limitations between 12:00 AM and 12:00 PM.
Further north, the Pediatric Emergency of the Complementary Pediatric Care Service in Viseu, of the Local Health Unit (ULS), is referenced between 9:15 AM and 11:00 PM.
The Obstetrics Emergency at Santa Maria Hospital is referenced all day to receive cases indicated by the National Institute of Medical Emergency.
During these periods, services classified as referenced are reserved for internal emergencies and cases referred by the Urgent Patient Guidance Center (CODU) of the National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) and the SNS 24 line.
The SNS Executive Board urges the population to “always call the SOS Pregnant Line [808 24 24 24] before going to a Gynecology emergency service.”
