The first edition of Foz Beats, a music festival with free admission, will be held in Foz do Arelho, in the municipality of Caldas da Rainha, from July 21 to 23, the city council announced today.
The program with which the Leiria district municipality promises to “lift your feet off the sand” includes, in this first edition, the rapper Piruka (on the 21st), Virgul (on the 23rd), and the DJ and music producer Kura (on the 22nd).
On the 21st BC Kappa and djs Mister Milhas and MC Wilsinho will perform on the Foz do Arelho stage, followed on the 22nd by Vodoo Childs and Vibin, and finally on the 23rd by Funkoff and dj Y.A.M.A.
The festival presented today “marks a strategic focus on diversifying and boosting the cultural offerings of the municipality and the region, bringing three days full of music and entertainment to the West zone,” said the mayor of Caldas da Rainha, Vitor Marques (independent), quoted in a press release.
Called Foz Beats, the festival will take place in Foz do Arelho, a beach defined by the mayor as “the perfect scenery for a true celebration, where the public can enjoy unforgettable moments”.
The goal is, according to the organization, “to create a festive and relaxed atmosphere where music lovers can enjoy a unique experience, combining the beauty of the beach with the contagious rhythm of the artists,” throughout the three days of free concerts, marked by “different genres and sounds.
According to the Caldas da Rainha City Hall, Foz Beat will take place annually.
