The Leiria Public Security Police (PSP) announced the recovery and seizure of 207 pieces of Bordallo art ceramics last Wednesday, following several criminal investigations into cases of qualified theft reported in April.
“As a result of the operation, a 40-year-old suspect, with a history of similar offenses, was identified and formally accused due to strong suspicions of involvement in theft and dealing in stolen goods,” stated the police force.
The PSP in Leiria reported that Bordallo Pinheiro Ceramics identified a total value of missing ceramic pieces at approximately 140,000 euros. “This police department will continue the investigation to recover the remaining pieces,” they added.
“The Leiria PSP remains committed to combating property crime and protecting citizens’ rights,” they emphasized.
