The fall of an overhead power line continues to cause delays in Fertagus trains almost at the beginning of dawn, about six hours after the incident.
According to the information provided on the company’s website, which is updating the situation “whenever justified,” the disruptions began at 17:50.
The most recent update, at 23:00, reports that “circulation is taking place on a single track in the Sete Rios – Alvito section, with significant delays.”
When the fall occurred, Fertagus officials reported that circulation had not stopped at the Pragal – Coina – Setúbal stations in both directions, albeit “with delays.”
“Given the extent of damage to the overhead line, we have no forecast for resuming circulation between Campolide and Pragal,” Fertagus wrote in the 18:22 update.
The company officials advised, right from the start, “as an alternative, the use of the available transport network within the Navegante system.”
