The Prime Minister announced today that the final exams for the 9th grade will be held on paper, as “serious flaws have been identified in the provision of computer equipment”, keeping the assessment tests in digital format.
The announcement was made by Luís Montenegro at the presentation of the program of the XXIV Constitutional Government, in the Assembly of the Republic.
“Having identified serious shortcomings in the provision of computer equipment, its maintenance and the connectivity of schools to ensure that students could take the assessments on equal terms this school year (13,639 9th graders did not receive the digital-portable kit, data stick and accessories), the government decided to carry them out on paper, exceptionally, this school year,” he said.
According to the Prime Minister, “the assessment tests will remain in digital format, as planned, in order to signal the commitment to the digital transition.
