More than 1,500 children shouted “viva a festa” during the Boys Parade that took place this Sunday morning, July 2nd, through the streets of Tomar with thousands of people watching.
The Parade of Boys of the Feast of Tablets, where children are the protagonists, took place this Sunday morning, July 2, through the streets of the city. More than 1,500 children participated in the route that began in Mata dos Sete Montes and ran along Avenida Dr. Candido Madureira, Everard Street, Serpa Pinto Street, Republic Square and Infantry Street 15.
In Praça da República the children shouted “viva a Festa”, rested and received a blessing from Father Rui Tereso. After the three bells rang, they picked up their trays and continued their way to Mata dos Sete Montes.
Thousands of people and family members watched the parade filling the streets of the city. The Festa dos Tabuleiros runs until July 10 with lots of music and the Grand Parade next Sunday, July 9.
