Total revenue from the tourist accommodation sector grew by 11.2% and revenue from accommodation increased by 10.8% year-on-year until February, reaching 506.7 million euros and 367.5 million euros, respectively, INE announced.
According to the National Statistics Institute (INE), in the accumulated period from January to February, overnight stays reached 7.7 million and registered a year-on-year growth of 3.3% (+0.3% for residents and +4.9% for non-residents).
The statistical institute points out that these results “were influenced […] by the fact that 2024 is a leap year and, as such, the month of February this year has 29 days, one more than in 2023”.
