A source from the GNR Territorial Command of Beja informed Lusa news agency that around 5:15 PM, traffic at the accident site began to flow alternately.
According to the same source, the accident, for which the alert was given at 3:45 PM, occurred on the IP2 near the access to the town of Santa Clara de Louredo, in the municipality of Beja.
It was a collision between two light goods vehicles, which resulted in two minor injuries.
According to the Sub-Regional Command of Emergency and Civil Protection of Baixo Alentejo, the victims were transported to the emergency department of Beja hospital.
The rescue operations mobilized 14 operatives from the Beja and Castro Verde Fire Departments, GNR, and the concessionaire Estradas da Planície, supported by six vehicles.
