The alert for the fire in Carrapichana was given at 5:55 PM.
The National Authority for Emergency and Civil Protection (ANEPC) also reported that, by 7:50 PM, there were two other active fires.
One of the fires was burning in Terras de Bouro, Braga district, and at that time mobilized 65 firefighters, supported by one aerial resource and 17 vehicles. The alert was given at 5:32 PM, and by 7:50 PM, it was burning “with some intensity and has an active front of about 200 meters”. However, according to the ANEPC source, it is expected that “it may soon be under control”.
Another fire broke out in Vimioso, in the Bragança district, “due to the thunderstorm that is being felt there”, at 6:10 PM. By 7:50 PM, the fire mobilized 81 firefighters, supported by five aerial resources and 22 vehicles, and was “practically in the resolution phase”, according to the ANEPC source.
