A young man around 20 years old drowned this Saturday in the Valdanta dam, in Chaves, in the district of Vila Real.
The information was confirmed by a source from the Chaves Public Salvation Volunteer Firefighters, who were at the scene.
According to a source from the Republican National Guard (GNR) of Vila Real, it was initially thought that the victim was 22 years old, but it was later confirmed that he was 19.
The alert was given at 4:30 PM, and the GNR received it through the Urgent Patient Guidance Center after the young man had “disappeared” from the water.
